Well known artist moves to France and blogs the experience
Nigel Fletcher is a very well established and successful artist who for many years has been based in rural north Oxfordshire in England, an area he has captured in watercolours, acrylics and oils. These works have proved extremely popular in the many exhibitions that he has displayed his work at over the last two decades. You can enjoy a cross section of his work on his website: http://www.nigelfletcher.co.uk/
For nearly two years now Nigel has been successfully creating and selling a painting a day. These smaller and thus less expensive works have proved very popular and follow both the seasons and Nigel's travels, they can be viewed at: http://www.nigelfletcher.co.uk/cotswold-sketchbook/
Now, in a major move, Nigel is living full time in the Limoges area of central France, a transition that is proving to be an artist's inspiration.: "The light here is so different to that in the Cotswolds, as are the seasons, this is allowing me to use light and colour in new ways to interpret what I see. Also the pace of French life and their culture create a whole ambiance which cannot help but be reflected in my work".
So that others can share this experience Nigel is writing a blog: http://cotswoldsketchbook.blogspot.com/ which creates an interesting insight into the artist's life and work.
